Listeria System 18R is a 18-well panel containing dried biochemical substrata for the identification of Listeria species isolated from cultures in selective or non selective agar media.

The panel is inoculated with a suspension of Listeria spp. and incubated at 36±1°C for 18-24 hours. The species is identified through a numerical codification obtained by the color change of the biochemical tests in the reaction wells.

Listeria System 18R allows for the identification of the following species in 18-24 hours: Listeria monocytogenes, Listeria innocua, Listeria grayi subsp. grayi, Listeria grayi subsp. murrayi, Listeria seeligeri, Listeria welshimeri, Listeria ivanovii, Jonesia denitrificans.
