TAT Broth

Liquid culture medium for detection of microorganisms from highly viscous or gelatinous materials.

TAT (Tryptone-Azolectin-Tween) Broth is a liquid medium used for the microbiological examination of cosmetics and topical drugs, particularly from highly viscous or gelatinous materials.

This medium, also known as Fluid Casein Digest – Soy Lecithin – Polysorbate 20 Medium (SCDLP 20 Broth), complies with ISO 21149 for detection of aerobic mesophilic bacteria. Enzymatic digest of casein provides nitrogen, vitamins, minerals and amino acids essential for growth. Lecithin and polysorbate 20 neutralize preservatives in pharmaceutical products.
