TKT Edwards Medium Modified Selective Medium for the isolation of Streptococcus agalactiae and other streptococci, which cause bovine mastitis.
The staphylococcal toxin (betahemolysin) along with defibrinated blood is incorporated into the medium to observe the CAMP reaction of Streptococcus agalactiae (blue colonies with beta-haemolysis).
